Poverty is a chronic disease in our society. It has begun from our forefathers and is getting worse and worse in our time. The remedy for it, remains unknown as human greed and relentless mounts up.
In many poor countries, people are unemployed. For them to live, they find resources to survive. They do fishing, plant crops that they could sell or eat and even ask for alms on the streets. Though begging money isn't a good thing sometimes people, especially old ones are left with no choice.
We may think that beggars won't earn enough for them to eat a complete meal in a day but meet the old man from Beijing who earns $1700 a month from begging on the streets. His photographs become viral after Beijing news featured him. He has already built a two-storey house for his family and funded 3 members of the family to college. Every month he gets the help of postal workers to count his earnings and sends it to his family. There's more! He gives them 100 Yuan for the tip. Incredible!

We can't blame the man from engaging in such activity, but let's consider that there are beggars who do these to deceive people and are just too lazy to do difficult jobs. I salute this old man not for the money he earns from begging, but for the intention of uplifting the welfare of his family despite of his old age.
